Putting Her Experience to Work
As a life-long advocate for children, Lorraine supports safe schools by returning to foundational principles such as cultivating a climate of respect
throughout our schools, holding students accountable for their behavior, and working with parents. Lorraine has taught, mentored, and encouraged
youth through her work experiences as well as various church and community volunteer activities.
She believes that in order to achieve academic excellence, we must get back to teaching the basics: reading, writing, math, real science, and factual history. Lorraine recently retired from a 30-year career as a Hennepin County Probation Officer. She has a degree in Political Science and Social Welfare from the University of Minnesota. Lorraine and her husband (of 46 years) raised their four children, and are blessed with 13 grandchildren.
