PUTTING HER EXPERIENCE TO WORK
Meet Lorraine

WHY SHE'S RUNNING
Lorraine is a lifelong advocate for children and youth. She is running for Anoka-Hennepin School Board to ensure that every student in the district receives the educational skills needed so that they may succeed in life in whatever area they pursue. Lorraine will bring her passion for seeing students reach their full potential.
HER BACKGROUND
In addition to raising her own 4 children, Lorraine and her husband (of 46 years), have opened their home to a couple of teens along the way, moving them from high school to adulthood. She has lived in Champlin for over 30 years. Their children have attended schools in the district and now a few of her 13 grandchildren attend direct schools as well.
Lorraine received her degree from the University of Minnesota. During her career, she has worked with youth at theYMCA and at the County Home School. Two years ago, Lorraine retired after working 30 years as a probation officer in Hennepin County. Through various church and community volunteer activities, as well as her work experiences, she has taught, mentored, and encouraged youth. She has seen what works and what doesn’t work when assisting children and youth to become healthy contributing adults. Lorraine’s knowledge of student behavior at all grade levels, has uniquely qualified her to make decisions on policies that work for all students.
